Hume Coal is working with the local community to develop a low-impact and sustainable underground coal mine in the Southern Highlands. The Hume Coal Charitable Foundation was established to foster the development of the Southern Highlands community.

Selection will be based on application and interview.
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of the scholarship;
Applicants must be enrolled their 2nd year or higher of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil; Computer; Electrical; Mining; Mechanical; Environmental; Mechatronics; Materials);
Applicants must have originated from the Wingecarribee Shire Local Government Area;
Applicants must maintain a credit average (Weighted Average Mark 65+);
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
