These three (3) $5000 scholarships, available for future and current SWS students in their first, second or third year of study in 2023.
These scholarships aim to inspire local students to use their acquired expertise to give back to the local region, and are for students who have demonstrated need, such as financial or social disadvantage, and recognises those who have been involved in activities which add value to the community. There are a range of criteria that are looked at in determining this need such as low income, family background, living in a rural or isolated region, having a permanent disability, being a recent migrant from a non-English speaking country, a first in family university attendee and Indigenous Australians.
Applicants must provide a one page outline of their involvement in the community and how a scholarship will assist with your career ambitions.

Application Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate need such as financial and/or social disadvantage. Equity criteria include - but are not limited to - low income family background, having a permanent disability, recently migrated from a non-English speaking country, Indigenous Australians, first in family university attendee etc.
Applicants must be intending to enrol, or be enrolled in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong South Western Sydney Campus;
Applicants must currently reside in the Liverpool City Council Local Government Area;
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.

Applicants must maintain enrollment in an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong South Western Sydney Campus for the duration of this scholarship
Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50
Applicants must demonstrate financial disadvantage by way of a Centrelink Income Statement and/or talk to your barriers within your application
