Dimension Data and AISA are excited to offer this scholarship to provide meaningful hands on work experience for a current UOW Computer Science student. From international airlines and major retail chains, critical infrastructure, Health, Education, through to government and financial institutions, Dimension Data helps our clients to “Risk Less and Achieve More” keeping the bad guys out and our clients business’ up and running.
With the ever-changing threat landscape and new vulnerabilities on the rise, security teams around the world are always looking for new and innovative ways to protect client information assets. This is where the next generation comes into play; thinking outside the box and coming up with new solutions to the emerging challenges in cyberspace. The primary location for the Work Integrated Learning placement will be at the Dimension Data offices in Darling Park - Sydney's most vibrant and iconic commercial precinct.
Selection will be based on application and interview.

Application Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security) or Bachelor of Computer Science (Digital Systems Security);
Applicants must be completing their 2nd year in 2018 and progression to their 3rd year in 2019;
Applicants must be available for a period of seven (7) weeks work experience at the end of each year;
Applicants must be available to interview for this scholarship in late November;
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
The successful applicant will receive a free 12-month membership with AISA which entitles them to access to; member meet-ups, free access to branch one-day events, email alerts of job vacancies in the industry; discounts on information industry events, training, products and services, plus much more.
The successful applicant will also receive a free pass to the AISA's 2019 conference in Melbourne.
