Jamie Ross Scholarship for First in Family Indigenous Students
2024 Jamie Ross Scholarship for First in Family Indigenous Students
Community
Are you an Indigenous UOW student and the first person in your immediate family to study at university? This scholarship aims to relieve some financial pressure for a first in family Indigenous student.
The Jamie Ross Scholarship for First in Family Indigenous Students was established in 2019, by a donor who was born to a teenage Aboriginal mother with mental health issues. For this donor, a key contributor to positively authoring her family's future story was succeeding in higher education. This donor wants to partner with you in your studies, so you can be the proud author of your future success story.
UOW will ask for your confirmation of Aboriginality or a Statutory Declaration to be provided on acceptance of the scholarship to ensure that funding reaches Indigenous students.
