The Australian Government has partnered with the University of Wollongong (UOW) to offer the Destination Australia scholarship program. Application Criteria
Applicants be commencing as a new student at UOW in Autumn 2025
Applicants must maintain ongoing residency in a regional area as defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics for the duration of each study period;
Applicants must be enrolled and study at either the Eurobodalla, Bega, Southern Highlands or Shoalhaven campuses,
Applicants must be full-time in an on-campus course that can be fully delivered at one of the campuses listed above; and
Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Teaching (Primary), Master of Teaching (Secondary) or Doctor of Medicine
As part of the assessment, priority will be given to students facing financial and/or educational challenges including low income family background, carer responsibilities, English language difficulty, long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse, living in a rural or isolated region, sole parent responsibilities, refugee status and Indigenous Australians.
