The Southern Highlands Foundation Indigenous Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to support Southern Highlands Indigenous persons to undertake academic study at the University of Wollongong. The objective of the scholarship is to assist the successful scholarship holder to gain a university qualification that will build knowledge and skills and strengthen employment opportunities.

Application Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled in any undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong, preference given to 1st years
Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, in line with the eligibility criteria for this scholarship
Applicants must be enrolled full or part time, preference will be given to full time applicants
Applicants must have originated from either Wingecarribee Shire, the Goulbourn Mulwaree region or the Wollondilly Shire and still consider the respective area to be their home.
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full or part-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship
Applicants must submit a one page statement outlining their connection to the Southern Highlands region and long term commitment in considering this their home.
