Are you an Indigenous UOW student in your first or second year of a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related undergraduate degree in 2021? The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) would like to support further engagement with the sciences for Indigenous Australians, by supporting two (2) UOW Indigenous undergraduate students. The funds are intended to be used for work placement support, extra-curricular academic tutoring, and other learning tools such as textbooks. This scholarship is also an opportunity to engage with the CSIRO and build a relationship and pathway into a career in the Sciences and there may be an opportunity to undertake course-based work placement at a CSIRO facility. At conclusion of the course the successful recipients may also be considered for a graduate position with the CSIRO. Applicants are asked to include a short personal statement discussing your future career aspirations in relation to Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

Application Criteria
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student in an eligible degree at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship;
Applicants must maintain enrolment in any Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related undergraduate course at the University of Wollongong
Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent;
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
Applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50
Applicants must provide a short personal statement discussing your future career aspirations in relation to Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
