WMD Law South Coast Work Integrated Learning Scholarship
2021 WMD Law South Coast Work Integrated Learning Scholarship
Work Integrated Learning
The WMD Law provides UOW Law students with the opportunity to gain valuable professional work experience with a progressive firm of lawyers. WMD Law has offices in Sutherland, Sydney CBD, Pennant Hills, Campbelltown, Bega and Merimbula, with a large team of experienced lawyers focusing on family law, commercial litigation, estate planning and litigation and all property related matters.
The WMD Law South Coast Work Integrated Leaning Scholarship is designed to support a UOW Law student from the Bega Valley Shire region to return to their local area for their placement, working at the WMD Law Bega and Merimbula Offices, with an initial week in Sutherland to gain an understanding of the Firm.
Applicants must be available for work experience in the WMD Law Bega and Merimbula Offices during mid-session breaks and/or at the end of the year. The scholarship recipient could work at the Sutherland office for a week to get to know the firm and then spend their remaining time at Bega and Merimbula offices. Scheduling of experiential placement is to be negotiated between the Scholar and Donor at the time of offer and cannot impose on the successful applicant's study timetable. The applicant must complete a total of sixty (60) days or 456 working hours, commencing in 2021.
Applicants are asked to provide a one page statement outlining their connection to the Bega Valley Shire, and how the scholarship will assist them with their career ambitions.
