2022 Glencore Mining Engineering Transfer Scholarship

The Glencore Mining Engineering Transfer Scholarship is available to students who are enrolled at University of Newcastle as part of the Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Transfer Program) who are seeing to transfer into their third year of study, at the University of Wollongong.
The scholarship will be offered for the remaining duration of the recipient’s degree (up to two years) along with an offer of paid work placement during the summer session of each year (except graduating year).
The employment arrangement will be arranged between the sponsor and the student throughout their degree. Successful applicants who complete their scholarship with Glencore are considered for the Graduate Program and stand to obtain ongoing professional opportunities.

Applicants are encouraged to be available for interview between 1 - 3 December 2021.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder
Applicants must be commencing their third (3rd) year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) in 2022 at the University of Wollongong
Applicants must be available to undertake vacation work placement with Glencore, as a separate arrangement to the administration of the scholarship
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student, in a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) for the duration of this scholarship
Applicants must be transferring to a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) at UOW, as part of the University of Newcastle mining engineering transfer program
Applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65
Applicants must include a one page outline of how the scholarship will assist you in your career ambitions
Successful candidates must be able to maintain professional standards whilst affiliated with Glencore and may be asked to represent UOW and Glencore at selected opportunities
