Morrisons are specialist criminal and traffic lawyers based in Wollongong and the Southern Highlands, with more than 50 years' combined experience. They provide expert advice and representation in all aspects of criminal proceedings. Morrisons lawyers regularly appear in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW for persons charged with offences ranging from drink driving to murder. They have a representation throughout NSW for providing high quality legal advice, with two Solicitors being Accredited Specialists in Criminal Law by the NSW Law Society and regularly appearing in the Doyle's rankings as leading criminal lawyers in regional NSW.
The Morrisons Work Integrated Learning Scholarship provides a rare and exciting opportunity for a Bachelor of Laws student (either single or combined LLB) to gain valuable practical experience in all aspects of criminal and traffic law. The placement as part of the scholarship will be for approximately 60 days. The successful applicant will spend time learning from experienced criminal advocates, assisting in the preparation of complex criminal proceedings, as well as attending Court to observe and gain advocacy experience.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview, which may include a short mooting/advocacy exercise.

Application Criteria
Successful applicants must remain enrolled in an undergraduate degree at any onshore campus at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong (Part-time applications will be accepted where final year does not require full time enrolment to reach completion);
Applicants must be available for a total of sixty (60) days work experience during academic session or at the end of each year and prior to graduation;
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an interest in criminal law and advocacy via a written statement, which may include details of participation in Mooting and other advocacy-based competitions.
Applicants must be enrolled in Bachelor of Laws (either single or combined LLB degree)
Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a selection interview, which may include a mooting scenario.
