The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and assist Women to enter, re-enter and achieve leadership roles across financial services.
The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is the primary membership organisation for financial planning practitioners who want to master the practice of financial planning, and who are committed to shaping the future of the profession.
As part of this continued commitment to excellence and with support from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Office for Women, FPA wish to provide meaningful equity opportunities for our students in pursuing finance and economics education.

Application Criteria
Applicants who are undertaking tertiary studies as means to re-enter the workforce, or those who are mature age or of young age (between 16-35 years old) are encouraged to apply.
Applicants who are seeking to upskill in order to achieve leadership potions in finance, accounting, economics and financial planning professionals are encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of the Scholarship. Part-time students must be enrolled for a minimum study load of 50%.
Successful applicants must maintain enrolment in an eligible degree program for the duration of the Scholarship.
Applicants must be intending to enrol in first year 2022 of one of the following eligible undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor of Business (3090) with a major in Accountancy, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance or Financial Planning. Bachelor of Business - Bachelor of Laws (3101) with a major in Accountancy, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance or Financial Planning. Bachelor of Economics and Finance (326) Bachelor of Economics and Finance - Bachelor of Laws (1895)
Applicants must identify as female, and be intending to enrol full-time or part-time at the University of Wollongong in 2022.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need. UOW also takes into consideration the following forms of educational disadvantage and applicant attributes when awarding equity scholarships: carer responsibilities; English language difficulty; long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse; regional or remote disadvantage; sole parent responsibilities; refugee status and Indigenous Australians.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65
Applicants must provide a current Centrelink benefits statement in order to demonstrate financial need.
