The Housing Trust is a for-purpose community housing provider, creating opportunities, enriching lives and building communities in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven by providing safe, secure, comfortable and affordable rental housing.
The Housing Trust Opportunity Scholarship provides a UOW future student with $5,000 per year, over 3 years - a total of $15,000 over the duration of your degree.
Applicants must be living in Social Housing or Affordable Housing in the Illawarra LGA or Shoalhaven LGA, and plan to enrol full-time in any undergraduate degree at the UOW Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus in 2025.

Application Criteria
Applicants must be commencing study at UOW as a full-time undergraduate student in 2025, at either the Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus
Applicants must reside in Social Housing or Affordable Housing in the Illawarra LGA or Shoalhaven LGA at the time of application
Successful applicants must maintain enrolment in an undergraduate degree at either the Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus for the duration of the Scholarship
Applicants must complete a form allowing The Housing Trust to contact their housing provider to verify their living arrangements
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder
Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50
Applicants must include as part of the application package how this scholarship will assist with their career ambitions
