The Westpac Tech Futures Scholarship offers a combined value of $20,000, comprising $5,000 in flexible financial support and participation in a technology leadership development program valued at $15,000. Designed for outstanding students who will be in their final year of undergraduate study in 2027, the program provides opportunities to develop leadership capabilities, learn from industry experts and innovators, and join the lifelong Westpac Scholars Network.
Applicants must be available for interviews in early 2027 and, if successful, commit to the scholarship program requirements. These include attending the Westpac Scholars Summit on 28-29 April 2027, participating in two leadership residentials currently scheduled for July and September 2027, and completing online learning between in-person sessions.

Application Criteria
Applicants must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a strong academic record, demonstrated by a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or above.
Applicants must have completed secondary education (Year 12 or equivalent) between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2024
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in your first undergraduate degree and in 2027 will be in their final year of study (3rd, 4th or Honours year) at the University of Wollongong.
Applicants must be studying n a STEM discipline, including (but not limited to): Information technology, computer science, data science, software engineering, cyber security, AI or related fields, biomedical science, health technology or medical science. Not including civil, mining, mechanical, electrical engineering.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to a career in technology or tech-enabled impact aligned to one of the Trust’s impact areas: Innovation for Impact, Connected and Stronger Society, Sustainable Futures, and Asia-Pacific Leadership.
Applicants must show leadership potential and a commitment to making a positive contribution to Australia’s future.
Successful applicants must be available to participate fully in the scholarship and leadership programs, including the Westpac Scholars Summit (28-29 April 2027), and two Leadership Program Residentials (July and September TBC).
