The Robert Sidhwani Memorial Scholarship in Medicine
2024 The Robert Sidhwani Memorial Scholarship in Medicine
Community/Equity
The Robert Sidhwani Memorial Scholarship in Medicine recognises the significant impact medical practitioners have on the community and aims to support students studying medicine who experience financial disadvantage.
Dr. Robert Sidhwani was one of the first family GPs in the Illawarra. He established his solo practice in the 80s and continued to provide bulk-billed care to all patients who required his help until his retirement in 2018. His passion was solving problems, and providing diagnoses for patients where other medical professionals could not. By dedicating his life to medicine and to his patients, Dr. Sidhwani saved countless lives over the years.
To be considered for this scholarship, applications must also submit a UAC Equity application in addition to the UOW Scholarship application.
