UOW Pulse is all about making the student experience at UOW, outside the classroom, an awesome one! They support Clubs & Societies, put on heaps of cool events, throw rad parties and run a bunch of volunteering and skills development programs. In 2022 and 2023,UOW, UOW Pulse, and Green Connect held an Op Shop Ball to celebrate Global Climate Change Week - an evening of sustainably sourced food, a fashion show, and an opportunity to mingle with colleagues and friends while making a positive impact on the environment. The funds for this scholarship were raised at this Ball.
The Sustainable Futures Opportunity Scholarship has been established to support UOW students with their studies and champion the continued need of sustainability and UOW's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030. Applicants are asked to provide a written statement demonstrating a commitment to addressing any of the Sustainable Development Goals through community involvement.
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must also submit a UAC Equity application in addition to the UOW Scholarship application.
