2024 Emeritus Professor John Hogg Memorial Scholarship

The Emeritus Professor John Hogg Memorial Scholarship was established to honour the life and legacy of Dr John Hogg, OAM, Founding Dean of the UOW Graduate School of Medicine and a pillar of the Illawarra Community.
One scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at any stage of their studies in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Wollongong.
The scholarship is open to domestic and international students, and the selection panel reserves the right to split the allocated funding in a given year if it is unanimously agreed upon that there is more than one applicant they would like to recognise.
Applicants who are able to demonstrate leadership qualities and examples of assisting others in need will be highly regarded.

Application Criteria
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship.
Applicants must be enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Applicants who are able to demonstrate leadership qualities and examples of assisting others in need will be highly regarded.
This scholarship is open to both domestic and international students.
The selection panel reserves the right to split the allocated scholarship funding in a given year if it is unanimously agreed upon that there is more than one applicant they would like to recognise.
Successful applicants must maintain a Satisfactory grade for the duration of the scholarship
Applicants are required to submit a one-page statement outlining contributions demonstrating leadership skills and service to the community.
