The WMD Law WIL Scholarship will provide a UOW Law student with the opportunity to gain valuable professional work experience with a progressive firm of lawyers.
WMD is located in modern offices in Sutherland, providing a wide range of legal services to residents of the Sutherland Shire for the last 50 years. The firm has offices in Sydney CBD, Pennant Hills, Campbelltown, Bega and Merimbula. WMD Law has a large team of experienced lawyers with a focus on family law, commercial litigation, estate planning and litigation and all property related matters.
Applicants must be available for work experience for a total of sixty (60) days or 456 working hours, commencing in 2021 for a four (4) week block. The remainder of the Work Integrated Learning component of the Scholarship will be completed one (1) day per week thereafter until the fulfillment of the Work Integrated Learning has been met.

Application Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled in their penultimate year 2021, and entering final year in 2022, in a Bachelor of Laws;
Applicants must be available for work experience, for a total of sixty (60) days or 456 working hours, commencing at the end of 2021 for a four (4) week block. The remainder of the Work Integrated Learning component of the Scholarship will be completed one (1) day a week thereafter until the fulfillment of the Work Integrated Learning has been met.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
Applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of the scholarship
Applicants must provide a one page statement outlining how the scholarship will assist with their career ambitions
