The University of Wollongong is deeply committed to Indigenous education. The Aunty Mary Davis Scholarship for Teacher Education offers one scholarship per year to an Indigenous student who aims to become a school teacher.
An application via UAC Equity must also be submitted in addition to the UOW Scholarship application

Application Criteria
Must be enrolled Full time in Bachelor of Primary Education, Bachelor of Primary Education (Dean's Scholar), Bachelor of Education (The Early Years), Bachelor of Education (The Early Years) (Dean's Scholar);
Applicants must identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. UOW will ask the applicants to provide a Confirmation of Aboriginality or a statutory declaration prior to interviewing for this scholarship.
Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50+
Applicants are required to demonstrate community involvement via submission of a written statement.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need. UOW also takes into consideration the following forms of educational disadvantage and applicant attributes when awarding equity scholarships: Carer responsibilities; English language difficulty; long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse; regional or remote disadvantage; sole parent responsibilities; refugee status and Indigenous Australians
