Graduate School of Medicine Phase 4 Rural Placement Scholarship
2024 Graduate School of Medicine Phase 4 Rural Placement Scholarship
Community/Equity
The Graduate School of Medicine aims to address the critical shortage of medical practitioners in regional, rural and remote Australia. These scholarships will support students of the MD who demonstrate a strong commitment to rural and/or remote medicine. The aim is that students will get a significant experience in a rural or remote setting. It is known that such placements encourage students to return to practice in these communities and / or have a better understanding and appreciation of medicine in these areas.
The Graduate School of Medicine Phase 4 Rural Placement Scholarship will support existing students of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) in undertaking Phase 4 clinical placement in rural or remote Australia.
