This scholarship acknowledges the long-standing connection of John and Belle Miller's family to the Illawarra Region, and their valuable contributions in the fields of Nursing and Teaching.
This scholarship is a representation of the Miller family's desire to support the studies of students in need, and recognises those who are involved in the community.

Application Criteria
Applicants must have a demonstrated need such as financial and/or social disadvantage. Equity criteria include - but are not limited to - low income family background, living in a rural or isolated region, having a permanent disability, recently migrated from a non-English speaking country, Indigenous Australians, etc;
Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship;
Applicants must be enrolled in their second (2nd) year or above in a Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor Nursing (Advanced) or Bachelor of Nursing (Honours); and
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
