The Illawarra Mercury Joel Ritchie Work-Integrated Learning Scholarship
2017 Illawarra Mercury Joel Ritchie Work-Integrated Learning Scholarship
Work Integrated Learning
The Illawarra Mercury has been a generous supporter of the UOW scholarship program since 2007.
The Joel Ritchie Learning Scholarship is in memory of Illawarra Mercury sports reporter Joel Ritchie, who died in September 2011, at the age of 28. He was a passionate young reporter whose early death prevented him from fulfilling all his ambitions. The scholarship is aimed at giving another new talent the opportunities Joel Ritchie seized as he forged his career in the newspaper industry.
